short play
Glanderous, cheeky, straight out, feminist. Ophelia – Blabla durch die Blume gesagt is a feminist interpretation of Ophelia’s role in Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Unlike in the original, she is the protagonist. She knows how to reach her climax and can say No when it comes to mansplaining, which the computer voice “Markus” likes to do. We accompany her on a journey through toxic waters surrounded by the patriarchy incarnate by the form of four little plastic divers named Gertrude, Claudius, Polonius and Hamlet.
